"The
itsy bitsy spider
Went up the water spout.
Down came the rain
And washed the spider out.
Out came the sun
And dried up all the rain
And the itsy bitsy spider
Went up the spout again.
And the
itsy bitsy spider
Went up the spout again." |

Itsy
Bitsy Spider is a popular song with a finger rhyme for children,
who while singing the lyrics mimic the actions of the spider
as it ascends, descends and reascends the downspout of a gutter
system (or, alternatively, the spout of a teapot). The name of
the spider seems to vary (it is also known as Incy Wincy Spider),
but Itsy Bitsy Spider is believed to be the most popular version. |
